Wusb300N Download Device DriversI have experienced occasinal siglal loss, both explained and un-explaind. I had interference between Windows and liksys software that was resoved by deleting and re installing the linksys software. After installing the usb adapter I realised that the distance to my acess point was too great. Do not use Linksys network software or anything else.This is my first attempt at wireless networking so I don't have anything to compare it to. My older internal Linksys network cards are set up to automatically connect to the internet when windows start but they never do. I also added a 12 foot usb extension cable to reach a window with a clear path to the range extender.I bought this wireless network card because it was USB and made by Linksys.* The setup was easy on Windows Vista and I'm going to buy a second one for a Windows 2000 machine to replace an older Lynksys internal network card.* The connection is automatic when wondows starts. The dstance to the liksys G range extender is about 300 feet and another 30 feet to the linksys acess point at my neighbors hose. I'm using XP sp2 Home edition and operating My computer as a gateway for My home network. The good news is a simple right click on the Windows connectin icon follwed by clicking repair fixes it every time in seconds! This also works with the un-explained signal loss. I threw our the Netgear and switched all of my networking to Linksys because of their support policy. Many years ago I had a Netgear router that went out of warantee and Netgear tech suport would not help me configure it. After upgrading to Vista 64 bit, my desktop computer developed an audio glitch once every minute as the adapter pings the router. If you are just using a laptop or want a dedicated adapter for your laptop, it will make more sense to use an adapter designed for laptops as this adapter is definitely "bulky".Just recently though I've hit a bump in the road. I'm in an apartment and can't install a wall jack near my computer and with my laptop I can go out to the apartment pool (200 feet away) and still get an excellent connection. I use it for both my desktop and laptop. I had been having problems with the older adapter and thought I would upgrade in the hope my problem would be resolved. Hopefully this will change.I decided to get this adapter to replace Linksys WUSB54G adapter. Vista 64 bit users should do their homework before purchasing this adapter.Overall, I think most users will find this adapter to work well and I would have given it more stars except for the lack of Vista 64 bit support. Google doc suite for macThe only way to re-connect is to re-boot my system. If I turn off my computer screen, the adpater disconnects. I have experienced several problems. I also tried Windows wireless configuration. I have chatted with tech support. I had to re-boot my system to get it back on-line. I lost my connection a few minutes ago and couldn't reconnect through the monitor. However, others seem to have found solutions to the problem. I am running Windows XP and can't help but thinking it has something to do with the drivers and compatability with XP. Ordinarily, I am a supporter of Linksys however, I am certainly dis-satisfied with their products on my desktop. I never have any problems with that connection. I have a laptop running wirelessly with one of Dell's cards installed. I have tried all of those ideas and nothing seems to work.
